My musical journey began with the love of family.  Music was an integral part of every gathering, story, and memory.  I was energized by the harmonies of my mom and aunts singing acapella and comforted by exchange instruments at the routine weekend family gatherings.  My first shows were bluegrass with an upright bass - then guitars and harmonies with my sister.  I found an expression for my love of rhythm in the high school marching band and my love for classic rock with bands like Rush, Heart and Journey.  This lifelong love has continued through all of life changes.
